Alex's journey as a wedding photographer is one of the most unique you will find in the industry. In the early 90s, Alex was bass guitarist and lead songwriter for a Southern California punk band, and it was during that time when he uncovered a deep interest and passion for street art. It wasn't long until he took that infatuation to a higher degree, literally, as he enrolled to the then prestigious Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, receiving two Bachelor's degrees in the field.
Alex captured his first wedding in 1996, and has had the pleasure of photographing more than 500 weddings since then. Always pursuing to deliver the very best in what he does, Alex aims to push through photography's boundaries in every frame, using his storied experience and eclectic personality at his disposal.
The photographs Alex captures are enriched by his photojournalism background, and also reference formal portraiture, creative portraiture, lifestyle photography, and fine art photography. Yet, nothing is more central to Alex's approach than ensuring your unique story comes to life in every frame.
If you are interested in film photography for your wedding, there is nothing Alex enjoys more than reliving his old days of capturing weddings exclusively on 35mm and 120mm film.
